‘Lizard Music‘ Movie Starring Dwayne Johnson Lands At United artists
Los Angeles - Amazon MGM Studios adn United Artists (UA) have secured the rights to Lizard Music, a film starring Dwayne Johnson and directed by Benny Safdie. The project reunites Johnson and safdie following their recent collaboration on The Smashing Machine.
Lizard Music is based on a book by Daniel Pinkwater and centers on a hunt for a hidden society that evolves into a voyage through fantastical worlds. Safdie described the story as one he read to his sons, captivated by its “creativity and wonder.” He expressed excitement about adapting the book for a wider audience and watching Johnson transform into the character of “Chicken Man.”

Producers on Lizard Music include UA’s Charlie Stuber and Nick nesbitt, Out for the Count Productions’ Safdie, Seven Bucks Productions’ Dwayne Johnson, and Magnetic Fields Entertainment’s David Koplan.

Safdie and Johnson are represented by WME,with johnson also represented by the Garcia Companies.
The declaration follows a period of discussion surrounding The Smashing Machine, with Johnson stating the film “has changed my life” despite its box office performance, and Christopher Nolan praising Johnson’s performance as possibly the best of the year.
