Poirier’s knockdown of Holloway occurred in the second round of their BMF title bout. Following the knockdown, poirier attempted a guillotine submission.
There has been discussion regarding Justin Gaethje’s performance at UFC 300, where he dropped Holloway with a punch in the fourth round. However, this was not officially recorded as a knockdown in UFC statistics, despite Holloway’s own assertion that it was.
