Los Angeles, CA – A vehicle plowed into a crowd of people gathered outside a nightclub early saturday morning, resulting in multiple injuries. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in the 4600 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene, wiht approximately 124 firefighters and paramedics responding to assist those affected. The motive behind the driver’s actions remains under inquiry, with authorities examining possibilities including a loss of consciousness.
Mayor Karen Bass expressed her condolences, stating, “This is a heartbreaking tragedy. I want to thank the more than 100 LAFD and LAPD personnel who responded to the scene to help to save lives.”
The investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.
