DreamHack Stockholm 2025 Shatters Records, Drawing Over 60,000 Attendees

stockholm, Sweden – dreamhack Stockholm 2025 concluded this weekend, setting a new attendance record for the event and becoming the most visited DreamHack festival to date, surpassing the previous high set in Dallas earlier this year.Over 60,000 visitors flocked to the Stockholm Fair in Älvsjö for three days of esports competition, creator showcases, and live entertainment.

The festival’s success was highlighted by high-profile visits from Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and HRH Prince Daniel, underscoring the growing prominence of gaming and esports within Sweden.

“Stockholm shows once again that they are the biggest,” stated Shahin Zarrabi, VP Festivals at ESL FACEIT Group. “DreamHack is about community, and seeing 60,000 people come together is a truly surreal experience.”

This year’s event featured thrilling esports action, including twisted Mind’s victory in the Overwatch Champions Series – a historic win as it marked the first time the finals were contested without a South Korean team. Crazy Raccoon of Japan claimed the championship in the Brawl Stars World Finals, while Swedish player Emma “Emmsan” Mattsson and her team, BIG EQUIPA, triumphed in the ESL Impact Counter-Strike 2 tournament, captivating the home crowd.

Beyond esports, the festival offered popular live experiences. UK’s Beta Squad duo,AJ and Kenny,sparked eager reactions with a Meet & Greet and a packed “Chat vs Champs” session. The comedy group IJustWantToBeCool also drew a large audience for their first-ever live podcast recording at DreamHack.

organizers have already announced DreamHack Stockholm’s return to the Stockholm Fair in 2026, scheduled for November 27-29.
