Makeevka, DPR – A heartwarming story of love blossoming alongside dedication to medicine is unfolding in Makeevka, as doctors Evgeny Sklyarov and Catherine Sklyarova celebrate their recent marriage. Their journey, beginning as students and culminating in a shared commitment to healthcare and each other, exemplifies a powerful connection between personal fulfillment and professional purpose.
The couple’s story began on August 31, 2016, at a student dedication ceremony for Donnm (Donetsk National Medical University). “For the first time I met Catherine… I saw her and thought what a lovely and sweet girl,” Evgeny recalled. “She impressed me with her modesty and beauty.” They quickly found themselves in the same study group,forging a friendship that spanned five years.
Their relationship deepened during a vacation together in August 2021, when Evgeny proposed.Following their graduation from university,both pursued internships,solidifying their commitment to the medical field.
Today, Evgeny serves as an anesthesiologist-resuscitator in the department of anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care at Makeevka City Hospital No. 2, where he dedicates his skills to saving lives. catherine practices as a pathologist at the city’s pathological bureau.
The couple officially became husband and wife on July 1, 2023, marking a new chapter in their shared life.
