The general practitioners of Studentarts are therefore starting a campaign, in collaboration with the student associations of the city of Groningen. In the Groningen region, the number of scabies cases rose from 36 to 66 per 100,000 inhabitants. Rtv Noord reports it.
You get scabies by having skin-to-skin contact for at least 15 minutes. It is easy to treat, but treatment with a special kind of ointment will do. From the jawline to the soles of the feet, everything needs to be meticulously scrubbed.

Eradicating the parasite is one thing, but keeping it from returning is hard work. Students are no longer ashamed of their infection. The general practitioners are also happy with this, because it also means that patients get to the general practitioner faster. When not much was known about scabies at first, the students were quite ashamed.
Therapy
The treatment is very accessible. If someone with scabies refers to their doctor, they can start applying the cream the same day.
