Divinópolis City Hall Strengthens healthcare Through Direct Staff Feedback
The Divinópolis City Hall, via the Municipal Health Secretariat (Semusa), continued its “Collaborative Connection: The Voice of the Server” project last Friday, August 29th, with a meeting at the Tietê neighborhood Basic Health Unit. Municipal Health Secretary Sheila Salvino, alongside planning Directorate technicians, engaged directly with healthcare professionals to gather insights on potential improvements to both working conditions adn the quality of services provided to SUS (Unified Health System) users.
The session included teams from the Family Health Strategy (ESF) serving the Tietê, São Roque I, and São Roque II areas. Professionals actively participated, sharing their experiences, identifying challenges, and offering suggestions - a exhibition of Semusa’s dedication to participatory and transparent management.
Secretary salvino emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that direct input from frontline workers is “essential to ensure a more efficient, human and resolute SUS.” She highlighted that understanding the daily realities within each unit is crucial for refining processes and planning effective improvements.
This project has been implemented across multiple healthcare units in Divinópolis, focusing on active listening, demand identification, and collaborative problem-solving. Discussions center on structural needs, streamlining service delivery, and addressing the unique requirements of each team, ultimately fostering stronger communication between management and staff.
Semusa’s ongoing efforts underscore its commitment to valuing healthcare workers and delivering high-quality healthcare to the residents of Divinópolis through a foundation of listening, open dialog, and shared obligation.
