Disney World Florida: New Resident Ticket & Park Guide 2024-2026
Walt Disney World Resort will offer discounted park tickets exclusively to Florida residents from January 12 through May 16, 2026, a move designed to attract local visitors during traditionally slower periods. The promotion provides access to the resort’s four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
A four-day ticket will cost $255 plus tax, equating to $64 per day plus tax, although a three-day ticket is priced at $235 plus tax, or $79 per day plus tax, according to NBC Miami. Tickets can be used on consecutive or non-consecutive days, offering flexibility for residents. The option to add the Park Hopper benefit is available for an additional $40, allowing access to multiple parks in a single day. Water Parks and Sports, and Park Hopper Plus options are also available.
Disney World, which opened on October 1, 1971, and is operated by Disney Experiences, a division of The Walt Disney Company, is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Orlando, Florida. The resort currently employs over 77,000 people. Magic Kingdom features iconic lands such as Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Tomorrowland, and is home to Cinderella Castle. EPCOT focuses on innovation and technology, and includes the World Showcase and the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction. Disney’s Hollywood Studios draws inspiration from film and television, featuring areas like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land. Disney’s Animal Kingdom showcases areas like Pandora – The World of Avatar.
Reservations for the Florida resident tickets are required and are subject to availability. Adults must verify their Florida residency with a valid state-issued driver’s license or state identification card, or a military ID. The tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
