Dinosaur Jr. Announce 2027 North American Tour with Starcrawler

August 31, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Alternative rock icons Dinosaur Jr. have officially extended their North American tour into early 2027, pairing the announcement with a brand-new music video directed by Guy Kozak for the track “Everything At Once.” According to the sources, the expanded winter run follows the band’s fall 2026 dates supporting their latest studio album, There Near.

Winter 2027 Routing and Support Acts

The newly unveiled 2027 itinerary kicks off on February 11 at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, New York, and snakes across the East Coast, South, and Midwest before wrapping up on March 13 at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts. According to tour schedules published by the sources, Los Angeles rockers Starcrawler will provide support across the majority of the winter dates. The routing includes stops at Union Transfer in Philadelphia on February 13, Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on February 20, and First Avenue in Minneapolis on March 4.

Managing the complex logistics of a multi-city national trek requires specialized infrastructure.

Visual Artistry and Recent Releases

Alongside the 2027 tour dates, Dinosaur Jr. dropped a visual accompaniment for “Everything At Once.” According to the sources, the Guy Kozak-directed music video centers on a medieval knight performing mundane rural American chores, from mowing the lawn and washing a car to barbecuing and relaxing in the woods. The release adds fresh visual content to a busy promotional cycle that also saw guitarist and singer J Mascis swap cover songs with Mike Watt for a split 7-inch earlier in the year, following a 2025 co-headlining national run with Snail Mail.

Sonic Legacy and Touring Lineup

Formed out of the ashes of the Amherst, Massachusetts hardcore band Deep Wound, Dinosaur Jr. features J Mascis on guitar and vocals, bassist Lou Barlow, and drummer Emmett Jefferson “Murph” Murphy III. Following classic underground milestones like 1987’s You’re Living All Over Me and commercial breakthroughs like 1988’s “Freak Scene,” the original trio ultimately reunited in 2005.
