Blizzard Entertainment will unveil its plans for the future of the Diablo franchise tomorrow, February 11, with a 30th Anniversary Spotlight presentation. The livestream, scheduled for 2pm PT/5pm ET on Twitch and YouTube, promises updates for Diablo 4, Diablo 2: Resurrected, and Diablo Immortal.
The presentation follows a similar format to last week’s showcase for Overwatch, signaling a renewed focus on major franchise updates. Diablo 4, which launched in June 2023 and received its first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, in October 2024, is slated to receive a second expansion, Lord of Hatred, on April 28, 2026. Blizzard has already confirmed the Paladin as one of two latest playable classes coming with the expansion, and the Spotlight will reveal the second class.
Beyond new classes, Blizzard has teased a “deep dive” into updates to Diablo 4’s skill trees and endgame systems. The game has generated significant revenue for Blizzard, surpassing $1 billion in total revenue as of September 2024, according to available data.
Unexpectedly, Diablo 2: Resurrected will also feature prominently in the Spotlight. Blizzard has remained tight-lipped about the specifics, stating only that “there’s a lot we desire to share.” Ladder Season 13 is scheduled to launch February 20. The 2021 remake of the classic action RPG has seen limited updates since the release of Diablo 4, leading to speculation about potential quality-of-life improvements or a possible release on the Steam platform.
Diablo Immortal, the 2022 mobile spinoff, will also be addressed. Blizzard has outlined a 2026 roadmap for the game, promising a continuation of its ongoing narrative and the introduction of a new class, a new region, and “the return of a malevolent force.”
The Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight will be streamed live on both Twitch and YouTube.
