A family is mourning the sudden loss of thier 20-year-old son,Josh,who died just two weeks after experiencing flu-like symptoms,despite recently being in remission from cancer. The tragedy has prompted a fundraising effort in his memory for the charity Young Lives vs Cancer.
Josh had been recovering well from his cancer treatment and was looking forward to celebrating his 21st birthday in January. His family described him as a “stunning soul” who enjoyed music and chess, and wasn’t focused on social media. His unexpected death has left them devastated but steadfast to channel their grief into somthing positive.”This has given us a focus on doing something positive and kept us going these past weeks,” his family said. “I’m hoping we can make it a regular thing.”
The family is organizing a fundraiser to support Young Lives vs Cancer, the charity that provided support during Josh’s treatment.Donations can be made here.The family hopes to mark what woudl have been Josh’s 21st birthday with a fundraising event in January.
