Bogotá, Colombia – Zambrano and Miryan have secured a direct pass to the Gran Final of ‘Desafío del Siglo XXI’ after winning the Semifinal challenge in the Box Amarillo, held on February 13, 2026. The duo completed the grueling course, competing for a prize of 20 million pesos sponsored by Oppo, outpacing Valentina and Rata to claim the top spot.
The competition, broadcast on Caracol Televisión, saw Zambrano and Miryan establish an early lead, navigating each station of the challenge with consistent speed and efficiency. Their performance on both the outbound and return legs of the course solidified their advantage, allowing them to cross the finish line first.
Valentina and Rata likewise demonstrated a strong performance, maintaining their position in the running despite facing moments of pressure throughout the course. They successfully overcame the obstacles and secured the second qualifying spot for the Gran Final.
The third competing pair, Gio and Valkyria, faced significant difficulties during the return portion of the challenge, specifically in the section involving logs covered in mud. The challenging terrain and accumulated fatigue hampered their progress, widening the gap between them and their rivals. They struggled for several minutes to advance over the obstacles.
Following the results, Gio and Valkyria spoke with Andrea Serna, expressing their satisfaction with reaching the third-place position in the competition. They emphasized their appreciation for the overall experience and their performance throughout the challenge. Valkyria highlighted her return to the program after winning ‘Desafío The Box 2022’ alongside Ceta, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to compete again and reach the Semifinal stage.
Prior to the Semifinal, Zambrano had been receiving medical attention due to physical and emotional distress, as reported on February 12, 2026. Concerns arose among his teammates in the Omega team after he was observed resting and reluctant to engage with them. He complained of pain in his coccyx, knees, and arms, and requested medical evaluation, expressing fears about potentially having to withdraw from the competition. His teammates, Rosa and Katiuska, urged him not to assume the worst and to await the doctor’s assessment.
Earlier in the season, on July 4, 2025, tensions between Zambrano and Gio of the Gamma team had reportedly subsided following a team victory, marked by an embrace and apologies. The initial friction stemmed from a disagreement during a challenge involving a tractor truck, where Zambrano felt Gio did not adequately provide him with space during a crucial maneuver. Despite the momentary conflict, the team ultimately prevailed, multiplying their earnings.
The next stage of ‘Desafío del Siglo XXI’ will be the Gran Final, with Zambrano and Miryan, and Valentina and Rata confirmed as competitors. The fate of the remaining contestants remains to be seen.
