BATON ROUGE, La. — A walk by Dartmouth’s A.J. DeMastrie in the top of the third inning against LSU pitcher Izzy Parsky drove in a run and advanced runners to second and third, narrowing LSU’s lead to 3-2 in a game played Tuesday, February 27, 2026, at Alex Box Stadium.
The run scored was part of a Dartmouth rally that saw Stefan Di Corrado advance to second base and Taer Rodriguez move to third. Nico Banez scored on the play. Parsky, a right-handed pitcher, had entered the game with a 9.82 ERA over 3.2 innings pitched, according to a lineup posted on TigerDroppings.com.
The game featured a Dartmouth lineup that included Rodriguez at third base, Banez in center field, Di Corrado in left field, DeMastrie as catcher, Milo Suarez at designated hitter, Chris Miller at first base, Axel Riess in right field, Sam Andersen at second base, and Alejandro Puig at shortstop. LSU’s pitching matchup included Parsky and Evans, who had a 6.48 ERA over 8.1 innings pitched.
DeMastrie, a sophomore catcher for Dartmouth, was recognized with an All-Ivy Honorable Mention in 2025, according to Dartmouth’s athletic website. He started 24 games for the Considerable Green last season.
The game between LSU and Dartmouth followed a February 21st contest where the University of Texas defeated Dartmouth 4-3, a game sealed by a five-out save from Texas pitcher Thomas Burns. That game saw Dartmouth rally late, with A.J. DeMastrie and Nico Bañez each contributing RBI singles.
