Delphine Wespiser: Partner Roger’s Cancer Battle & Their Love Story

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

Delphine Wespiser, the host of the reality television show L’Île de la Tentation, is supporting her partner, Roger, as he battles cancer. Wespiser revealed in an interview with Ici Paris that Roger is suffering from a cancer caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), a virus that can affect the throat.

Wespiser emphasized the importance of HPV vaccination, noting that while girls have been routinely vaccinated against HPV to prevent cervical cancer, vaccination for boys is equally crucial. She explained that HPV is often undetectable in men, leading to late diagnoses. “It’s a cancer too stupid to catch like a virus,” she said, according to the report.

The couple, who initially separated in 2022 due to their age difference, rekindled their relationship after Wespiser realized her happiness lay with Roger. She described a period of intense caregiving, spending up to 12 hours a day at the hospital during Roger’s treatment. Despite the challenges, Wespiser expressed optimism, recounting a moment when Roger accompanied her to Mexico just two weeks after emerging from a coma.

Wespiser, who was crowned Miss France in 2012, has been balancing her personal life with a busy television career. She currently hosts L’Île de la Tentation on W9, a show that tests the fidelity of couples, and has likewise been tapped to host the revival of Qui veut épouser mon fils ? on M6, a dating show featuring single men living with their mothers. The current season of L’Île de la Tentation premiered on January 20, 2026, marking her third consecutive season hosting the program.

Wespiser has also appeared on other French television programs, including Fort Boyard, Love Island, and Les Cinquante, and has returned as a columnist for Cyril Hanouna’s show on W9.
