‘Desafío’ Contestant Deisy‘s Parents Divided Over Budding Romance with “rata”
Palmira, Colombia - September 16, 2023 – Reactions are pouring in after Desafío 21st Century contestant Deisy’s family weighed in on her developing relationship with fellow competitor, known as “rata,” during a September 15th interview with Caracol TV. while Deisy has garnered attention for her performance in the competition and her physical appearance, recent interactions with “rata” – including an unsolicited kiss – have sparked debate both within the show and now, within her family.
The 22-year-old from Palmira, Vallecaucana, was interviewed alongside her parents, siblings Jhon and maría. Her father, Don Jairo, expressed a positive outlook, stating, “It seems to me something very normal, very well that they are starting a gorgeous friendship and maybe tomorrow, it is not known. It is indeed time to meet him.” He also praised her overall performance as “very strong, very steadfast, good performance.”
Though, Deisy’s mother, Doña Sandra, voiced strong disapproval, playfully declaring, ”It will always be my queen and will have a husband on the other hand,” prompting laughter.
The family discussion followed an incident in the “Ditu” suite where “Rata” kissed Deisy without her consent, leading to a confrontation. This occurred as he was relaying information about Leo’s interest in her following a team change. Deisy had previously confronted Eleazar, a reaction that Valentina also commented on.
