Portland comedy fans will have a new venue to experience the Dead Comics Society’s immersive stand-up shows, starting with a performance on Friday, March 6th at Framework.
Established in 2017, Dead Comics Society has become a fixture in Portland’s comedy scene, typically hosting shows on the first Friday of each month. Previously located at Rogue Eastside Pub, the move to Framework allows for an expanded and more immersive experience, according to event listings.
The upcoming show at Framework will feature a rotating lineup of professional comedians, including performers with credits on HBO, Hulu, Netflix, Comedy Central, and Saturday Night Live. Doors are scheduled to open at 6:30 PM, with the show beginning at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available for $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
Dead Comics Society events often include a social hour with special cocktails and whiskey pours sponsored by New Deal Distillery. The showcase is open to all ages, with those under 21 permitted entry with a parent or legal guardian. The event is scheduled to last approximately one hour and 45 minutes.
Chase Brockett and Gina Marie Christopher are slated to perform at the Framework location on a recurring first Friday basis, according to Laughs PDX. Dead Comics Society can be followed on Instagram at @deadcomicssocietypdx.
