Ojabo’s Return Fuels Ravens’ Pass Rush

Offseason Focus Yields Results

After a challenging year, David Ojabo is poised to elevate his game and earn a significant role within the Baltimore Ravens’ outside linebacker group. A healthy offseason has become a game-changer, enabling Ojabo to focus on physical conditioning and refining his technique.

Working Hard with the Ravens

Ojabo faces competition from Mike Green, Tavius Robinson, Adisa Isaac, and others vying for spots behind established players like Kyle Van Noy and Odafe Oweh, who spearheaded the Ravens’ pass rush in 2024.

Ojabo highlighted his commitment: “I focused on the little things, my flexibility, strengthening areas that got weaker due to injury, working on my craft. I expect big things. I was here most of the time. The best way to train like a Raven is to train with the Ravens. Nothing can prepare you for what we do here better than being here.”

“Ojabo’s last year was pretty much the first year he was healthy,” Smith said. “A lot of times when you’re getting healthy, you’re not necessarily gaining, you’re just trying to manage to get back to where you started.”

Chuck Smith, Pass Rush Coach

According to the NFL, the Ravens’ defense aims to increase its sack totals in the upcoming season, looking to build on their previous performance and enhance their pass-rushing effectiveness (NFL Stats).

Preparing for Training Camp

Pass Rush Coach Chuck Smith has observed Ojabo’s solid foundation for the upcoming season. Smith noted that this offseason has provided a significant platform for Ojabo to dedicate himself to rigorous training.

Smith added, “This offseason, his platform has raised from the standpoint of, he’s had a chance to work harder. He has worked really hard. Ojabo plays hard, he competes hard, and I’m excited about what he gets a chance to do in training camp.”

With a dedicated offseason, Ojabo is expected to make a substantial impact and contribute to a formidable defensive unit.
