David Austin Roses IPM Essen: Trade Show Stand Design & Results
David Austin Roses showcased an experience-led trade present stand at IPM Essen this week, aiming to convert visitor interest directly into sales, the company confirmed.
The specialist rose breeder’s presence at the international horticultural trade fair featured a detailed display of its product range, including gift cards and a newly formulated, controlled-release rose food, according to information released by the event organizers and the company itself.
The fresh rose food is designed for annual application, promoting “strong, healthy growth and abundant blooms in an environmentally friendly way,” and differs from generic plant feeds through a specialized formulation tailored to the specific needs of roses. Nutrients are released based on temperature and soil moisture, maximizing absorption and minimizing environmental impact, the company stated.
David Austin Roses, breeders of English Roses since 1961, highlighted both bare root and potted rose options at the Essen event. Bare root roses, lifted from the fields during winter dormancy, are available for planting through May, the company noted. Several varieties were featured, including Vanessa Bell®, Eustacia Vye®, Gabriel Oak®, and Silas Marner®.
The company also previewed Sir David Beckham™, a new rose variety set to launch at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on May 18th, 2026, offering exclusive early access to those who sign up for updates. David Austin Roses handpicks its roses from its family farm in Shropshire, maintaining rigorous quality standards.
A LinkedIn post from David Austin Roses indicated that the IPM Essen event also provided an opportunity to engage with fellow rose breeders and professionals on issues of brand protection and intellectual property.
The company offers a five-year guarantee on all plants sold in the UK, alongside expert aftercare advice.
