Darkenstein 3D: Total Trampage Launching on Steam in October 2026
Publisher MicroProse and solo developer Rowye announced that Darkenstein 3D: Total Trampage will arrive on Steam on October 14, 2026. The upcoming expansion was unveiled alongside a brand-new trailer and builds upon the free retro shooter by adding five extensively remixed campaign levels, 11 endless maps, fresh weapons, additional enemies, challenge modifiers, New Game+, and new music.

Familiar locations return featuring reworked layouts, new encounters, and extra secrets. The new Endless Mode also challenges players to survive relentless waves across 11 purpose-built maps.

Background on Darkenstein 3D
Inspired by 1990s shooters and the brutal rhythm of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Darkenstein 3D is a fast, skill-based retro FPS packed with handcrafted levels, hidden secrets, explosive physics, and bloody combat. The base game is available for free on Steam, though the Total Trampage DLC requires the base game to play. The complete original campaign will remain free to play.
The title was developed over four years as a passion project by solo developer Rowye, a digital artist and indie game developer from Badalona, Spain. MicroProse publishes the title on PC.
