Danganronpa 2×2 to Launch on PC and Consoles in 2026, Featuring New Storyline
Spike Chunsoft announced today that Danganronpa 2×2 will release for PC and consoles in North America and Europe in 2026. The title is a revamped version of Danganronpa 2: goodbye Despair,boasting updated visuals and,crucially,a brand-new story scenario alongside the original.
Danganronpa 2×2 will retain the original game’s setting and cast of characters, but a “certain incident” will trigger a different chain of events, resulting in new victims, culprits, and twists. According to Spike Chunsoft, the new scenario offers a volume of content comparable to the original Goodbye despair.
“Danganronpa 2×2 includes a brand-new scenario based on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair,” the company stated. “The setting and cast of characters remain the same, but a certain incident triggers a completely different chain of events with different victims, culprits, and tricks. This new scenario offers a volume of content on par with the original.”
The release aims to deliver a “more beautiful and satisfying gameplay experience” with it’s visual updates.
