Dacia sales increased across the Baltic states in 2025, with a total of 3,477 vehicles registered – a 234-unit increase compared to the previous year, according to industry data released this week.

The French-Romanian automaker secured a 4.47% market share in the region’s light vehicle market, placing it among the top six brands in terms of sales. Performance varied by country, with Dacia establishing itself as a top-five brand in both Latvia and Estonia, while achieving seventh place in Lithuania – an improvement from its eighth-place ranking in 2024.

The Dacia Sandero proved particularly popular, claiming the top spot in the B-Hatch segment across the Baltic states among individual customers. It held the number one position in both Latvia and Lithuania and secured second place in Estonia.

The Dacia Duster, a compact SUV, also performed strongly, ranking among the top three models in the B+ SUV segment. A significant majority – 65% – of Duster buyers opted for the higher-spec Journey & Extreme versions. Hybrid engines accounted for one-third of Duster sales, and over 30% of customers chose a four-wheel-drive configuration.

Dacia’s Jogger model also saw success, becoming the fourth most popular vehicle in the C-Non SUV segment across the Baltics. It achieved even greater traction in Lithuania, where it ranked third, and held the fourth position in both Estonia and Latvia.

The company highlighted its unique position as the only brand offering both LPG and gasoline dual-fuel engines across its internal combustion engine range. Dacia is the sole manufacturer in the market providing four distinct powertrain solutions – mild hybrid, LPG, automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive – in its Duster and Bigster models.

Demand for fuel-efficient vehicles grew in 2025, with 35% of Dacia’s total Baltic sales consisting of vehicles equipped with the manufacturer-warrantied ECO-G LPG system. Hybrid engines also gained popularity, accounting for over 21% of sales – an 11 percentage point increase from the previous period.

Order books opened in 2025 for the all-new, fully electric Dacia Spring, available in Essential, Expression, and Extreme trims. This launch spurred a substantial 138% increase in sales of the Spring model across the Baltic region.

Mid-year, Dacia began accepting orders for its new C-SUV, the Bigster. Over 70% of Bigster customers opted for the high-end Journey & Extreme trim level, while approximately 20% selected the four-wheel-drive version. Nearly 60% of Bigster buyers chose the 155 horsepower hybrid engine.

The Dacia Bigster was recognized with the “Car of the Year” award in Lithuania for vehicles priced under €35,000, and also received the “Lithuanian People’s Car” award.

Dacia also celebrated success in rally racing, achieving a second-place finish in the FIA World Rallycross Championship (W2RC) manufacturer standings in 2025. The team’s driver secured the pilot’s championship title. Building on this momentum, Dacia entered the 2026 Dakar Rally, culminating in an overall victory for Nasser Al-Attiyah and Fabien Lurquin, with all four Dacia teams successfully completing the race.

Looking ahead to 2026, Dacia plans to continue expanding its electrified model range, aiming to offer a hybrid or fully electric version of every model. The company announced plans to introduce a new electric model in the A-segment, as well as a new internal combustion and hybrid model in the C-segment. Dacia will also further develop its electrified powertrain offerings, including the Hybrid-G 150 4×4 in the Duster and Bigster, with a gasoline version slated for release in 2026.
