Czech Post Introduces Major Update to Simplify Shipping
Česká pošta is introducing tracking capabilities for ordinary shipments to provide senders with confirmation that their mail has been successfully delivered.
The postal service stated that the update is intended to simplify the process of sending specific types of shipments while offering users greater certainty regarding the status of their delivery.
The tracking functionality is integrated into the PoštaOnline Track & Trace system. This system allows users to search for between one and 20 shipments simultaneously by entering tracking numbers in the required format, separated by commas or semicolons. Users who log into the platform are granted detailed access to the history of all their shipments.
This implementation of tracking for ordinary mail follows separate reports of delivery failures involving high-value items. Aleš Suchý recently reported the disappearance of a package valued at nearly 150,000 CZK. Suchý has stated that he intends to pursue legal action if the Czech Telecommunication Office does not rule in his favor regarding the matter.
The Track & Trace system remains the primary mechanism for verifying the status of shipments within the Česká pošta network.
