Brainerd Lakes Area Ceramic Artists to Showcase Work at ‘Cup North III’
Brainerd, MN – The Crossing Arts Alliance will host its third annual ceramics invitational, “Cup North III,” featuring the work of 22 Minnesota ceramic artists, from February 6th through March 2nd. The exhibition promises a diverse display of functional and sculptural ceramic art, all centered around the theme of vessels.
This juried exhibition offers a significant platform for Minnesota artists working in clay, attracting both established and emerging talent. “Cup North III” aims to foster thankfulness for the ceramic arts within the Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond, providing opportunities for the public to engage with unique, handcrafted pieces. The event builds on the success of previous invitational shows, expanding its reach and showcasing an even wider range of styles and techniques.
The featured artists represent a broad spectrum of ceramic practices, from traditional wheel-thrown pottery to innovative sculptural forms. Visitors can expect to see a variety of mugs, cups, bowls, and other vessels, alongside more experimental and artistic creations.
The Crossing arts gallery is located at 711 Laurel St. in Brainerd and will be open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Funding for Crossing Arts is provided in part by the McKnight Foundation and the Minnesota State arts Board, through a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. For more information, contact Crossing Arts at 218-833-0416 or info@crossingarts.org.
