Stockholm will host the 21st Congress of the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO) from February 18 to 21, 2026, at Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö, according to organizers.

The congress, known as ECCO’26, is focused on “Holistic IBD Care,” structuring its scientific program around basic science, traditional medicine, and clinical sessions led by specialists in the field. An educational program will precede the official start of the congress, requiring separate registration and catering to ECCO’s various interest groups.

ECCO has reported a record number of 1580 abstracts accepted for presentation at the 2026 congress. The organization notes that members registering for ECCO’26 can save between approximately EUR 250 and EUR 400 on registration fees, provided their 2026 membership fees are current.

The event is anticipated to draw participants from across the globe, uniting those involved in the advancement of care, education, and awareness surrounding inflammatory bowel conditions. The congress platform is currently live, with registration open to attendees.

ECCO members with group registrations can activate their access using a code provided by their group coordinator. A pocket guide for ECCO’26 will be available at the complete of January 2026.

Organizers are warning attendees to be aware of fraudulent websites and to ensure they are using the official ECCO’26 Congress Website for registration: https://www.ecco-ibd.eu/ecco26. The ECCO IBD App is available for download to stay informed about ECCO initiatives and the annual congress.
