With more than 100 professional games in Belgium, Sébastien Bruzzese is still without a club. Last year, however, it was contacted by the Circle of Bruges … and the standard.
Free since his departure from Cercle they are usedSébastien Bruzzese has been without a club since July 1, 2024. Trained at the RFC Liège, passed by Anderlecht, the Gantoise, the Bruges club, Zulte Waregem, Courtrai and Saint-Trond, the Liège goalkeeper has not yet said his last word. He did not hang up the gloves.
“I am 36 years old, but I did not put an end to my career. I hope to find a club this summer. I dream of a first experience abroad, where I could take my whole family. I am more fit than ever: I lost three pounds compared to my period in the circle. When I play football with friends, I often go to the game, and I am done,” he said in an interview with IPM.
Sébastien Bruzzese could have signed … Standard !
Sébastien Bruzzese was approached after the end of his three and a half seasons adventure in the circle. With more than 100 games in Belgian professional football, he could have bounced back in D1A, but the discussions never succeeded.
“I was called a few times last season. The circle thought of me when Warleson was injured. Management had told me about a four -month contract, but they finally chose another goalkeeper (the Dutchman Eloy Room).”
“The Standard also contacted me when Arnaud Bodart left and there were uncertainties around Matthieu Epolo, but that did not go further. I also received offers from amateur clubs, to the provincial.”
The Rouches finally opted for Gavin Bazunu, then for Lucas Pirard this summer. For his part, Sébastien Bruzzese remains without a club, but actively continues his research.
