He urged Red Bull’s sports advisor to leave the stable, declaring that the 82 -year -old had reached his « date d’expiration » !

These comments followed up at the surprise, on Wednesday, of Christian Horner, who left the Austrian team after more than 20 years as team director and CEO.

The exact reason for Horner’s departure was not announced by Red Bull GmbH; Laurent Mekies was confirmed to replace it.

This marks The start of a new chapter for the Milton Keynes stable (to read here)words that have made Albers react which is impatient to see Marko leave the organization to make room for a “new generation”.

“I read Marko’s words, the new chapter … But if we really want a new chapter, I think it’s time that he also reaches his expiration date,” Albers said.

“To judge by some of his statements, they are offset. I wonder if he should stay in this position. It may be time to make a radical change and inaugurate a new generation in depth.”

Marko joined Red Bull from the start of his F1 adventure, just like Horner. The duo and its co -founder Dietrich Mateschitz made the team a leading actress of the sport.

However, the Austrian, who also takes care of the young pilots of Red Bull, was often criticized for some of his words.

“I find it a very important factor,” added Albers, evoking the imprint that Marko leaves on the pilots, “With its often too positive or too negative criticisms”.

“In his interviews, I can’t find him tactical. And now, we could say: ‘He was never tactical’, but I now find that it is excessively hard, and that does not benefit the team.”

To date nothing indicates that Red Bull wants to separate from Marko, which has a contract which ends in late 2026 even if Oliver Mintzlaff, the new CEO, wanted to part with it when his arrival after the death of Mateschitz.

“Only the Verstappen clan still protects it. Believe me that if Max Verstappen decides to leave despite the dismissal of Horner, Marko will be the next on the list,” Predicted Albers to conclude.
