The recital is presented by the Secretariat of Neighborhood Strengthening, through the Undersecretariat of Culture, in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut as part of the Experimental Comedy cycle. Lontano, formed in Córdoba in 2019, is a collective dedicated to the creation and management of musical projects. The group explores the intersection of composition, interpretation, and improvisation, as well as the relationship between music and other art forms.
The program will include pieces for violin and double bass by Pía Tillard, Constanza Braida, and Facundo Chiesa Steinacher. Fernando Zappino Vidal’s compositions for two flutes will also be featured, alongside works by Juan Carlos Tolosa, a prominent figure in the Córdoba music scene. Additionally, the ensemble will perform selections from Mathias Spahlinger’s Suggestions, concepts for the (over) liquid of the function of the composer (also known as Proposals, concepts to do without the composer’s function), a important work by the European composer.
The performance will feature Eleonora Cervi and Jorge Garrido on flutes, Franca Frari on violin, and Juan Cruz Zigarán on double bass. Lontano actively promotes listening spaces, training, discussion, and the dissemination of information surrounding these artistic practices, aiming to foster connections between audiences, creators, institutions, and other groups.
