Vorarlberg Launches Community Movement Challenge
Get active and support your town in this friendly competition.
From June 23 to July 31, 2025, Vorarlberg communities will engage in a movement competition, encouraging residents to actively contribute minutes of physical activity to their town’s total. All residents are invited to participate in this fun, yet competitive event.
How to Participate
Participation is open to all citizens of Vorarlberg, regardless of age or current fitness level. To join, download the VIEWEM app and register. Be sure to follow the instructions within the app for the Kniebeugen-Challenge.
Every type of physical activity counts towards your community’s total. Whether you prefer walking, running, hiking, cycling, dancing, swimming, yoga, ball sports, or strength training, all minutes are tallied.
Collecting Minutes for Your Community
The goal is to accumulate as many minutes of movement as possible for your community. Increase your activity levels and encourage your friends and family to participate. According to the World Health Organization, adults should aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity per week to maintain their health and well-being (WHO Fact Sheet).
Why Participate?
Participating in the Gemeindebaettl 2025 offers multiple benefits. Regular physical activity promotes health and overall well-being. Participants also have the chance to win attractive prizes and vouchers. Winning communities will receive financial support for local movement projects.
