Comey indictment: Trump‘s “Authoritarian” Attempt too Rewrite History, warns‌ Former White House⁣ Lawyer

Washington‌ D.C. – ⁤ The recent indictment of former FBI Director James Comey is not an isolated legal matter, but a deliberate attempt by⁢ Donald⁤ Trump to “rewrite history” and⁣ exact retribution on his political opponents, according to Ty Cobb, a former⁣ senior White House lawyer who served during the Mueller⁣ examination.

Cobb, speaking on ⁤CBS’s Face the Nation on ‍Sunday, characterized Trump’s actions as “wholly unconstitutional [and] authoritarian,” warning that anyone involved in events Trump deems unfavorable is now “in real danger.” ⁣He specifically‍ cited the January 6th insurrection, the refusal to concede the 2020 election, the‍ handling ⁣of classified documents, and Trump’s recent conviction as a‍ felon as events the former ‌president seeks to distort.

“Trump wants to rewrite history ⁢so that the next ⁣generation may not know…that he was a criminal,” Cobb stated.

Cobb ⁤sharply criticized Halligan’s past‌ role attempting to downplay the history of slavery at‌ the Smithsonian, ‌arguing she was chosen to “whitewash” American history. ⁢”America needs to learn from the mistakes and lessons that ⁤we’ve‍ had, ‌and one of the biggest mistakes that America ever had was re-electing‌ President Trump,” he asserted.

Having served as Trump’s liaison to Special Counsel Robert ⁣Mueller, Cobb has become a vocal critic of the former president. He‍ emphasized that his current role allows him to offer an unbiased assessment,
