Last Chance: Tickets Remain for Comédie-Française’s Modern “Bérénice” at Parvis
Toulouse, France - Limited tickets are still available for the Comédie-Française’s upcoming performances of “Bérénice” at the Parvis, Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. and Thursday at 7 p.m. The production, directed by Guy Cassiers, offers a contemporary interpretation of Racine‘s classic tragedy.
Cassiers, previously acclaimed at the Parvis for his 2006 staging of “decanté red” and 2017’s “the dry and the humid,” returns with this new take on racine. His February production of “The Benedict” garnered praise from Télérama, which noted his ability to blend “the beauty of the Alexandrians to the ferocity of feelings with great modernity.” Jérémy Lopez stars as Titus, facing a challenging decision regarding his promised marriage to Bérénice, portrayed by Suliane Brahim.
The Comédie-française brought the production to the Parvis shortly after its debut at the Old Colombier. Reservations can be made by calling 05 62 90 08 55 or visiting Parvis.net.
