Australian comedian Anthony Locascio is embarking on his first official North American tour this October, bringing his latest stand-up show, The Divine Comedy, to venues across the United States and Canada from October 2 to October 24.
Operating as a full-time touring comedian nine years after beginning his career in 2017, Locascio moves into the North American market following acclaim across Australia, Greece, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. According to source reporting, his newest hour draws directly on an unexpected life pivot: an experience at a meditation retreat that he credits with helping him recover after his personal life fell apart in 2025.

The tour opens in New York City on October 2 at Rodney’s Comedy Club before moving through a series of major North American markets. As detailed by GetGreece, the 12-date run includes stops at Punch Line Philly on October 3, Yardbird Comedy Club in Hoboken on October 7, Comedy Bar Danforth in Toronto on October 8, and Théâtre St. Catherine in Montreal on October 9.
The routing continues down the U.S. East Coast and into the Midwest and West Coast, featuring performances at City Winery in Boston on October 11, Lincoln Lodge in Chicago on October 15, The Standup Comedy Club in Bellflower, California on October 16, and Rabbit Box in Seattle on October 17. The final stretch brings the show to Cobb’s Comedy Club in San Francisco on October 21, The Pearl on Main in Salt Lake City on October 23, and concludes at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles on October 24.
This international expansion builds on a string of recent milestones. Earlier in 2026, The Divine Comedy won the Best Comedy Award at the Darwin Fringe Festival. It follows his previous acclaimed hour, Pappou, which toured internationally through London, New Zealand, Canada, and New York across 2024 and 2025 before being filmed live at a sold-out Enmore Theatre in Sydney and released on YouTube in 2025.
From Legal Studies to Full-Time Stand-Up
Locascio's journey to international touring required balancing familial expectations and the high-stakes pressure of self-funded artistic independence. In an interview with The National Herald, Locascio explained that his family initially steered him toward traditional professional paths.
“I basically was given the choice of lawyer or doctor when I finished school and all my family were like, you’re a talker, so you have to be a lawyer,” Locascio told The National Herald. He spent three years studying law at Macquarie University in Sydney before shifting fields to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
While his father initially maintained a traditional backup-plan mentality, attitudes shifted following major career benchmarks. “It took me selling out Enmore Theatre in Sydney at the start of last year – a solo, sold-out show of 1500 people, which was a dream come true,” Locascio stated. “Then a week later, he was like ‘all right, I think this could be a thing, this comedy’.”
Reflecting on the realities of sustaining a global comedy career entirely dependent on his own craft, Locascio admitted to The National Herald, “It’s obviously a stressful thing to kind of be beholden to your own craft as a means of income, because everything that I do is on me.” Despite the technical demands of turning a creative passion into a profession, he maintains his lifelong ethos: “I do what I want to do at all times.”

Locascio’s comedic identity is heavily informed by his Greek and Italian heritage, a dynamic that has resonated deeply with diaspora audiences through shows exploring the intersection of multicultural family life. His gateway into the art form came early, sparked at age 11 when he watched Eddie Murphy’s Raw and Delirious specials with his father and uncle.
