The letter, penned by Mayor Mobolade, Denver Mayor Mike Johnson, and Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman, highlights four key areas requiring legislative attention:
- Competency Reform and Mental Health

- Supporting Local businesses with Reasonable Crime Reform
- Protecting Voter-Allocated Funding
Legislative Focus: Democrats and Republicans
Colorado Democrats have signaled a focus on affordability, aiming to reduce costs for housing, healthcare, energy, and childcare. House Majority Leader Monica Duran stated the party is “laser focused” on legislation to address these concerns.
Meanwhile,Colorado Republicans emphasize accountability and real solutions to long-standing issues. House Minority Leader Jarvis Caldwell noted that current challenges stem from “state level decisions, growing government, and policies that have driven up costs for families.”
