The Chilean soccer transfer window closed on Wednesday, leaving Colo Colo to proceed with its current roster for the 2026 season. Despite efforts to secure a seventh player during the transfer period, the club will not be making any further additions, according to reports.
While Colo Colo did not add to its playing ranks, there were late departures from the Monumental Stadium. Bryan Soto joined Audax Italiano on loan, and Lucas Soto moved to Everton de Viña del Mar, too on a loan basis.
However, several players found themselves without a club following the closure of the transfer market, and have been informed by Colo Colo manager Fernando Ortiz that they are not part of his plans for the upcoming season. Dylan Portilla, a 21-year-old midfielder who spent last season on loan at Deportes Limache, is among those deemed surplus to requirements. Bastián Silva, a 22-year-old midfielder who also played for Limache last year, scoring two goals and providing one assist, also failed to secure a new team. Matías Moya prematurely ended his contract with Colo Colo in an attempt to identify a new club, but was ultimately unsuccessful.
Both Portilla and Silva remain under contract with Colo Colo and will continue to train with the team, though their opportunities for playing time are expected to be limited. They may observe action during the Copa Chile and Copa de la Liga, where Colo Colo is expected to have a heavier schedule.
Colo Colo’s next match is a visit to O’Higgins de Rancagua on Saturday, February 21st, at 6:00 p.m. At the Codelco El Teniente Stadium. The match is part of the fourth round of the Liga de Primera 2026, and Colo Colo will be looking for their third consecutive victory.
On February 7th, Colo Colo defeated Everton de Viña del Mar 2-0 at the Monumental David Arellano stadium, a result that followed a difficult start to the season. Yastin Cuevas scored his first professional goal in the 91st minute, and Javier Correa added another in the 100th minute to secure the win.
