Collores Water: Puerto Rican Mountain Spring Water Gains Global Attention

March 3, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

A Puerto Rican water manufacturer, Collores Water Products, LLC., is gaining international recognition for its spring water sourced from the mountains of Juana Díaz. The company’s flagship product, Palma Coyor, received an award from the International Taste Institute in Brussels, Belgium, in 2004, and continues to garner accolades.

The operation, which began over 40 years ago, has seen significant investment in recent years. A recent owner took the helm in 2020, injecting $2 million into the 5,000-square-foot facility located in the Collores neighborhood, through a combination of loans and investments, according to reports.

Palma Coyor originates from a source deep within the mountains of the Valle de Collores. The water is naturally alkaline and rich in minerals and electrolytes, having traveled through underground rock formations for thousands of years.

Currently, Collores Water employs 11 people who oversee the manufacturing process. The company produces Palma Coyor for distribution to a growing market.
