Coco Gauff Addresses double Faults in Singles Play, Shows Betterment in Doubles Debut

Coco Gauff has acknowledged a concerning trend of double faults in her recent singles performances on the WTA Tour. Statistics from OptaAce highlight that Gauff’s 33 double faults at the Montréal WTA-1000 event this season place her third for the most double faults in a single WTA-1000 tournament this year. She trails only her own performances in Rome, where she recorded 42 double faults, and Indian Wells, with 38.

In contrast to her singles statistics, Gauff demonstrated a marked improvement in her doubles debut at the same event.Partnering with McCartney Kessler, the duo committed a combined total of just 4 double faults. Furthermore, they achieved a strong first-serve percentage of 75%, despite being broken three times during the match.
