Coastal Rugby Tournament 2026: Results & Fixtures – Round 1

The twenty-sixth edition of the Coastal Regional Tournament commenced this week with participation from 22 clubs, split into two tiers of competition. The tournament, which features 10 teams in the upper division and 12 in the lower, has already completed initial matches, with activity scheduled to resume on April 11.

In the Top 10 division, Santa Fe RC secured a decisive victory over Universitario (R) with a score of 45-20 (5-0). Old Resian faced a close contest against Gymnastics and Fencing (R), ultimately falling 25-28 (1-4). Students dominated Rowing with a 30-20 win (0-4), while CRAI narrowly lost to RC Elves 17-18 (1-4). A tightly contested match between Jockey (VT) and Jockey (R) ended with a 27-26 victory for Jockey (VT) (4-1).

Current standings in the Top 10 division place Santa Fe RC in the lead with 5 points, followed by GER with 4 points. Students, Jockey (VT), and Goblins are tied with 4 points each, while RAW and Old Resian each have 1 point. Jockey (R) and Rowing currently have no points.

The upcoming schedule for the Top 10 division on April 11 includes a match between Uni (R) and Jockey (VT), Jockey (R) versus CRAI, Duendes against Rowing, Students facing Old Resian, and GER playing against SFRC.

In the Second division, CRAR lost to Logarithm 5-14 (0-4). Provincial achieved a strong win against Gymnastics (P) with a score of 32-5 (5-0). Universitario (SF) defeated Los Pampas (R) 48-14 (5-0), and Los Caranchos triumphed over La Salle 43-16 (5-0). A match between Alma Juniors and Cha Roga was postponed, and Tilcara secured a 34-0 victory over Regatas/Belgrano (SN) (5-0).

Tilcara and Universitario (SF) currently lead the Second division with 5 points each, followed by The Caranchos and Provincial, also with 5 points. Logarithm has 4 points, while CRAR, Alma Juniors, Gymnastics (P), and Regatas/Belgrano (SN) all have 0 points. Los Pampas also currently have 0 points.

The Second division schedule for April 11 features Tilcara against Alma Juniors, Cha Roga versus Los Caranchos, La Salle playing against Uni (SF), Los Pampas facing Provincial, Gymnasium against CRAR, and Regatas/Belgrano against Logarithm.

The Copa Libertadores also saw action recently, with the second stage of the competition opening on February 19, 2026. Nacional Potosí stunned 2024 Libertadores champions Botafogo 1–0 at an altitude of 4,000 meters, while Bahia fell 1–0 to Chile’s O’Higgins. Philadelphia Union defeated Defence Force 5–0 and FC Cincinnati crushed O&M FC 4–0 in CONCACAF Champions Cup action.
