Reflecting on his entry into local government, Cllr De Sa noted that he secured election in May 2026 with a substantial margin, capturing the third-highest vote count across the borough. Having lived in the area for 13 years, the local representative emphasized that his primary focus centers on a “Hounslow West First” agenda, addressing persistent community concerns ranging from retail degradation to neighborhood safety.
Parking Protection and Anti-Social Behaviour Concerns
Alongside retail area sanitation, local representatives are targeting parking arrangements that impact residents and business patrons. Cllr De Sa stated an intention to review current parking restrictions to protect local shopping spaces while addressing difficulties faced by motorists who rely on their vehicles for daily travel.
The ward’s agenda also prioritizes tackling anti-social behaviour. Cllr De Sa stated that he will coordinate directly with the council, local police forces, and community organizations throughout the current council term to implement noticeable improvements.
Road Safety and Doorstep Surgeries
Road safety remains a central pillar of the ward’s community action plan, encompassing resident reports of speeding, hazardous junctions, and pedestrian crossing requirements. To maintain direct engagement, the Hounslow West councillors have adopted mobile surgery formats, conducting street-level walkabouts to meet directly with constituents outside local businesses and residential doorsteps.
