Los Angeles,CA – August 29,2024 – Veteran First Assistant Director Clark Credle is nearing completion of his documentary,The First Family of Film,a deeply personal project chronicling his recovery from a debilitating stroke suffered in November 2022 and his family’s journey. Credle, known for his work on productions like The Batman (2022) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), is actively seeking distribution for the film with HBO, Showtime, Amazon, and Netflix.

clark Credle’s career spans over two decades in Hollywood, beginning as a production assistant in 1998. He quickly ascended the ranks, becoming a First Assistant Director known for his meticulous institution and calm demeanor on set. his filmography includes collaborations with directors such as Christopher Nolan, Zack Snyder, and Patty Jenkins. The stroke, which occurred while the family resided in Atlanta, Georgia, initially left Credle with meaningful speech and mobility impairments.

“Clark is one of the great ADs of our industry,” says Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins. “With his current documentary,I’ve personally watched him transform into a director and visionary who has not let his struggles hold him back.”

Despite the challenges, Clark credle has demonstrated remarkable progress in his speech and motor skills, maintaining full cognitive function. He attributes much of his recovery to the unwavering support of his wife, Katie Credle, and thier two children. The family relocated to Colorado Springs, colorado, in early 2023 to access specialized neurological rehabilitation at the university of Colorado Hospital’s NeuroRecovery Center.

Both Clark and Katie Credle acknowledge the social hurdles faced following the stroke. “It’s scary for some people as what happened to Clark could be a nightmare,something that they don’t ever want to have happen to them.
