Jaguar 1200 Forage Harvester Boosts Capacity, Addresses Engine Safeguards
Grimstad, Norway – CLAAS has unveiled enhancements to its Jaguar 1200 forage harvester, increasing its throughput capacity by 20% to 500 tons per hour. The upgraded machine also features refined engine protection systems that trigger an output warning if engine speed drops below the minimum set value.
The Jaguar 1200, weighing approximately 20 tons, builds upon the success of the Jaguar 1000 series. While maintaining a 3.30-meter width with standard 800/70 R42 tires, the 1200 offers optional 2.15-meter high wheels (900/60 R42 in combination with 710/60 R30) for varied terrain. The Jaguar 1000 series is equipped with an clever all-wheel drive system and optional differential blockers for front and rear axles, alongside remote tire inflation systems.
These advancements cater to large-scale farming operations demanding higher efficiency and reliability during peak harvest seasons. The Jaguar 1200’s increased capacity allows for faster completion of silage operations, minimizing field losses and maximizing forage quality. The engine safeguard system ensures operational stability and prevents potential damage from overloading or insufficient power. The Jaguar 1000 does not offer Terra Trac tracks as an option.
