Citizen Promaster EO2023-00W: Color-Changing Dive Watch Now Available in the US
Citizen has released a limited-edition version of its popular Promaster Dive watch, the EO2023-00W, featuring a color-shifting dial, now available in the United States for $495. The watch, limited to 3,400 unnumbered pieces worldwide, was initially launched in China and Canada before becoming available to US consumers.
The new Promaster Dive distinguishes itself with a dial that dynamically changes hues depending on the angle of light, shifting between deep blue, teal, and even violet tones. Citizen describes the dial’s finish as “structural ink,” inspired by the shifting colors of the sea. The 36.5mm case is rose gold-tone stainless steel, and the watch features a silver unidirectional bezel with rose gold minute markings and a luminous pip at the 12 o’clock position. A silver chapter ring, applied hour markers, and broad hands, finished in rose gold with generous luminescence, complete the design.
The EO2023-00W is powered by Citizen’s in-house Eco-Drive E168 movement, which eliminates the demand for battery replacements by harnessing light from any source. The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters, making it suitable for scuba diving. It also features a plant-based BENEBiOL™ polyurethane strap.
Citizen initially released the Promaster Dive series in 1989, and the line has become known for offering value-for-money dive watches. The company’s Eco-Drive technology, which powers the EO2023-00W, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Customers can purchase the Citizen Promaster Dive EO2023-00W directly from the company’s online store. Orders placed by 2 PM ET are eligible for same-day shipping, though band sizing requests may add 2-3 business days to the shipping time. Citizen offers a 30-day return policy for unworn watches and a 5-year limited warranty on all purchases.
