Cicpc arrests El Guao for robbing cacao plantations in Monagas
José Ángel Ruiz, un hombre de 24 años conocido como “El Guao,” fue detenido en Monagas armado con un machete para robar a trabajadores y las cosechas de cacao de plantaciones locales, según informó Diario Primicia. The capture in Caripito forms part of a broader nationwide sweep by the Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (Cicpc) that targeted agricultural bandits, medical supply thieves, and automotive accessory pirates across three Venezuelan states.
Arrest of El Guao in Monagas Cacao Plantations
Municipal detectives from the Caripito branch apprehended José Ángel Ruiz in the El Mercado sector of the Bolívar municipality in Monagas state, following a string of violent rural holdups. According to the official Cicpc Instagram report cited by Diario Primicia and corroborated by Laiguana.tv, Ruiz operated primarily inside the cacao estates of the El Bajo Caripito sector. Armed with a machete, the suspect routinely confronted farm owners and laborers to strip them of harvested cacao seeds, which he intended to sell on illicit markets.
Parallel Cicpc Raids Target Medical Theft and Highway Plunder
Beyond the Monagas cacao region, Cicpc divisions executed two separate apprehensions on the same day involving stolen medical materials and automotive parts. In Caracas, investigators from the Division of Investigations of Crimes Against Public Health arrested 43-year-old Kelysmar Omaña González in the San José parish of the Libertador municipality, as detailed by Laiguana.tv and Últimas Noticias. González utilized professional dexterity to steal 500 specialized acetate sheets destined for X-ray imaging prints.
