CHS Students shatter Donation Records for Annual Fundraiser
COLUMBUS, OH – Students at Columbus High School concluded their annual community fundraiser on October 13, 2025, achieving a record-breaking total of $15,782 – a 22% increase over last year’s contributions. The funds will directly benefit the school’s athletic programs, arts initiatives, and academic enrichment opportunities.
This year’s success marks a important milestone for CHS, demonstrating a renewed commitment to community engagement and philanthropic efforts among the student body. The annual fundraiser, a tradition spanning over three decades, provides crucial financial support for programs ofen impacted by budgetary constraints. The increased donations will allow for the purchase of new equipment for the football team, expanded art supplies for the visual arts department, and additional resources for the school’s debate club.
The fundraising drive, wich ran from September 29 to October 13, featured a variety of activities including a school-wide car wash, a bake sale, and a peer-to-peer donation campaign. Senior class president, Emily Carter, spearheaded the effort, mobilizing students and coordinating volunteer schedules. “We really wanted to push ourselves this year and show the community what CHS is capable of,” carter stated. “The students were incredibly enthusiastic,and their hard work truly paid off.”
School officials anticipate the funds will be allocated by the end of October, with tangible improvements to programs visible by the start of the spring semester. The CHS Booster Club, responsible for overseeing the fundraiser, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from students, parents, and local businesses.
