Chris Brown and Usher Cancel Four Tour Dates Citing Crew Health; Billboard
Chris Brown and Usher canceled four October stadium shows on their North American co-headlining trek, with concert promoters citing tour crew health while an upcoming U.K. court sentencing looms for Brown, Billboard reported on Friday, Oct. 9.
Four Stadium Dates Are Canceled with Automatic Refunds
The nixed performances include stops at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Oct. 17, Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati on Oct. 24, Williams Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, on Oct. 29, and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Oct. 31. All four affected venues joined the itinerary during an August expansion that brought the tour roster to 59 scheduled dates, according to reporting. Lucas Oil Stadium officials stated that ticket holders will receive automatic refunds to their original payment methods within 14 to 21 days.
Tour organizers issued a statement explaining that the alterations were made to prioritize the health and well-being of the touring party and crew. The statement noted that the physical demands of a stadium run of this scale are significant, framing the schedule adjustments as necessary to keep remaining performances running safely. While Billboard noted that the cancellations fall immediately before and after Brown’s scheduled court appearance, the promoter’s official statement did not directly attribute the cut dates to the pending legal proceedings.
Chris Brown Faces Sentencing for Affray Charge
The schedule adjustments arrive as Chris Brown prepares to return to London’s Southwark Crown Court on Oct. 26. The 37-year-old musician pleaded guilty to a lesser affray charge in July, following a February 2023 nightclub incident at Tape nightclub involving producer Amadou ‘Abe’ Diaw. Prosecutors dropped initial charges of assault and causing grievous bodily harm as part of the plea agreement. Brown faces a maximum of three years in prison for the misdemeanor offense and must formally notify authorities of his return to the U.K. by Oct. 25, having previously posted $6.75 million bail following his arrest in May 2025.

The R&B Tour originally launched on June 26 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, following a promotional rollout that paired the two artists’ catalogs for nearly three-hour stadium performances. Following the October cancellations, the itinerary features a performance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Oct. 15, before pausing and resuming at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Nov. 5.
