Green Bay players leaned into the rivalry dynamics after dropping two contests at Soldier Field during the previous season. The defeat leaves Chicago managing personnel questions while preparing for upcoming travel, including a visit to Atlanta to face the Falcons.

In the NFC East, the Washington franchise experienced another collapse, failing to secure a win after forcing a fumble from Cam Skattebo with under two minutes remaining. Driving down to the New York 24-yard line with less than a minute left and the Giants holding no ability to stop the clock, Washington opted against attempting a 41-yard field goal. Instead, quarterback Jayden Daniels dropped back to pass, scrambled, and was tackled inbounds with no timeouts remaining, sealing another frustrating loss.
