Cherry Appoints New Marketing and EMEA Sales Leaders
Cherry Restructures Leadership to Merge Sales and Marketing
Peripheral specialist Cherry is shaking up its top ranks. CEO Rogier Volmer has overhauled the company’s executive structure to fuse marketing and sales operations.
The strategic pivot is designed to synchronize the peripheral business with customer demand and actual purchasing habits. By setting joint priorities and establishing clear accountability across departments, the hardware maker wants to eliminate traditional friction points between promotional strategy and revenue execution.
Hartmann and Filleau Take New Leadership Roles
Philipp Hartmann has taken the helm as Global Head of Marketing, assuming worldwide responsibility for brand leadership. Alongside him, Jonathan Filleau has earned a promotion to EMEA Sales Director.
Volmer made it clear that the peripheral business must function as a cohesive unit. The objective: bolster partner business and aggressively expand B2B activities across the board.
Deep Channel Expertise in EMEA
Filleau brings heavy-hitting credentials to the table. Having joined Cherry in May as the country manager for France under Projekt Blossom,
he commands over twenty years of experience in international sales, channel management, and category management.
Before his arrival at Cherry, Filleau spent nearly eight years at Corsair leading global category management, preceded by leadership stints at PNY Technologies. Now, he will direct Europe, the Middle East, and Africa—Cherry’s powerhouse region for peripherals—while keeping his hands on his ongoing French market duties.
Streamlining the Go-to-Market Approach
Volmer insists both leaders have the exact background needed to enforce cross-functional collaboration. The blueprint depends on regional teams syncing tightly with global leadership to push the next phase of corporate growth.
Instead of working in isolated silos, the marketing and sales divisions must now lock step on product launches and channel incentives under unified directives. This structural overhaul targets optimized partner networks and stronger retail and enterprise placement for keyboards, mice, and other peripheral hardware across EMEA markets.
