Ajax Defender Jorrel Hato Linked with Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool

Ajax’s promising young defender, Jorrel Hato, is reportedly attracting significant interest from top Premier League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool. Hato, who is under contract with Ajax until 2028 with no surrender clause, is a player of considerable interest in the transfer market.

Ajax is understood to be seeking a transfer fee in the region of seventy million euros for the defender. Though, it is indeed believed that an offer around fifty million euros could be enough to secure his signature. To date, no official bid has been lodged by Chelsea, who are actively searching for a left-footed defender.

Liverpool is also in the market for a left-sided central defender within the 18 to 22 age bracket.Hato perfectly fits this profile and is reportedly the emphatic preference of sporting director Richard Hughes. The club’s pursuit of Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace is currently hampered by his asking price, which exceeds fifty million euros.

At Chelsea, the need for a left-footed defender is pressing.Ben Chilwell and newcomer Renato Veiga are both expected to depart this summer. While Marc Cucurella is the current first choice under manager Enzo Maresca,the manager has previously deployed Malo Gusto and Reece James in that role. Levi Colwill has also occasionally featured at left-back.
