Chatham Man Arrested in 10-Year Sexual Abuse Case | NYSP Investigation
CHATHAM, N.Y. — Benjamin O. Gleason, 31, of Castleton on Hudson, New York, was arrested on March 20, 2026, following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse spanning approximately a decade, according to New York State Police.
The arrest, made by the NYSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Livingston, comes after investigators developed information regarding the alleged abuse in February of this year. Gleason is currently being held at the Columbia County Jail pending arraignment.
He faces multiple felony charges, including three counts of Predatory Sexual Assault, three counts of First-Degree Rape predicated on forcible compulsion, three counts of First-Degree Rape involving a physically helpless victim and four counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Act. Additional charges include Second-Degree Aggravated Sexual Abuse, First-Degree Sexual Abuse through forcible compulsion, Third-Degree Criminal Sexual Act, and Third-Degree Rape.
