Charlotte Hornets: New Hugo’s Hive Menu & Concession Deals

by Emma Walker – News Editor

The Charlotte Hornets have introduced “Hugo’s Hive Menu,” offering a selection of concessions items for $2 each, beginning with Monday’s game against the Detroit Pistons. The initiative includes a hot dog, pretzel bites, popcorn, bottled Dasani water, and soda.

The new menu is a direct response to fan feedback regarding the cost of food and beverages at Spectrum Center, the Hornets’ home arena. According to a report in the Charlotte Business Journal, the Hornets sought to address concerns about high prices at the arena.

Items on Hugo’s Hive Menu are available at designated locations outside sections 108, 116, 216, and 224 within Spectrum Center, according to a post on Facebook. The Hornets announced the launch of the value pricing initiative on NBA.com, describing it as a fan-friendly effort to make games more affordable.

The $2 pricing applies to all five items on the menu, a significant reduction from typical concession costs at NBA arenas. The Hornets’ announcement highlighted the affordability of the new offerings, aiming to enhance the game-day experience for fans.
