Charlie Puth Welcomes First Child, Son Jude, with Wife Brooke Sansone
Pop star Charlie Puth and his wife, Brooke Sansone Puth, welcomed their first child, a son named Jude Crawford Puth, on March 13, 2026, the singer announced Monday on Instagram.
Puth shared multiple photos of the newborn, referencing The Beatles’ song “Hey Jude” in his caption. Images included Jude sleeping in a blue-and-white striped onesie, Puth feeding his son, and a close-up of Jude’s hand resting on a necklace with a diamond-encrusted “J” pendant. He also posted Polaroid pictures taken in the hospital, according to his Instagram post.
Sansone Puth shared the announcement on her Instagram Story, adding that Jude’s middle name is Crawford. She also posted a photo of Jude’s foot, writing, “My whole world.” Puth further marked the occasion with a TikTok video of himself playing “Hey Jude” on the piano for his son.
The couple, who married in Montecito, California, in September 2024, announced they were expecting in October 2025 with a video accompanying Puth’s song “Changes.” Puth had previously expressed anxieties about balancing his career with fatherhood, telling Rolling Stone in January that preparing for the baby made his “jaw tense up.” He also discussed his desire for his child to have a “normal life” and his concerns about the demands of touring, stating he hopes to bring his family along when possible.
Puth’s new album, Whatever’s Clever!, is set to be released on March 27, and he is preparing to embark on a world tour next month. He indicated he intends to prioritize being present for his son, even while on tour, and hopes to have Jude with him, albeit with considerations for the child’s well-being and a desire to limit extensive travel.
Sofia Richie Grainge, who is currently expecting her second child, was among the first to offer congratulations, commenting, “Oh my god! I love you both so much.”
Puth and Sansone began dating in 2022 and became engaged in September 2023.
