Charleston Man Pleads Guilty to Drug Conspiracy | Meech Jenkins Case
A South Charleston man pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal charges stemming from a drug trafficking operation in the Kanawha County area, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia.
Andre Marvin Marneal Jenkins, 28, also known as “Meech,” admitted to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The guilty plea was entered in federal court on March 24, 2026.
Prosecutors stated that Jenkins collaborated with others to distribute illegal narcotics throughout the Charleston region over approximately one year. In April 2025, investigators executed a search warrant at a Charleston apartment linked to Jenkins, where they discovered fentanyl and a loaded pistol. A subsequent search of a storage unit in Dunbar, to which Jenkins possessed a key, yielded over 5,300 fentanyl pills and three additional firearms, according to court documents.
Jenkins is one of sixteen individuals indicted on drug-related charges as part of a broader federal investigation into drug trafficking within Charleston, spanning from June 2024 to May 2025.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 20. Jenkins faces a potential prison sentence ranging from five years to life, a minimum of three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $2.25 million.
